What is a "salt system?"

A saline (saltwater) sanitization system provides on-site production of the sanitizer necessary to maintain water in a safe, healthy and algae-free condition. Sanitizer is produced automatically, within the water itself, and involves no handling, storage or adding of chemicals to the water. A saltwater system, properly sized for its application, will eliminate the need to purchase sanitizing chemicals such as – pool chlorine, algaecides and shock chemicals.

Can my pool equipment be moved to a different location?

Of course! If the equipment is in an unsightly location or just too close to the congregation area, it's a good idea to place it in a location where is won't be seen or heard but is still easily accessible such as around to the side of the house or behind a shed.

When is the best time to remodel my swimming pool?

A pool remodel is possible year-round in the Florida climate. Remodeling a swimming pool during the winter has a number of advantages. Obviously, pools are generally not used as much in the winter and your family will not be without the use of the pool during the swim season. Since the pool renovation business is somewhat cyclical it is also easier to obtain desired scheduling when remodelers are not in the summer “busy season”.

Do you offer stamped concrete decks?

Yes! We have several options for decking. Stamped concrete is concrete that is patterned and/or textured or embossed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile, wood, and various other patterns and textures. When the concrete is poured, large rubber mats are used to stamp the impression into the concrete, the concrete is then stained and sealed. Stamped concrete adds a luxury look to your pool deck at an affordable price!

How Often Do I Need to Vacuum My Pool?

You really need to vacuum your pool at least once a week. This will keep the water clear and reduce the amount of chemicals needed to maintain proper water balance. This will also help reduce the need to clean your pool filter. There are several different types of pool vacuums available, both automatic and manual. If you choose an automatic pool vacuum, then you will not need to worry about vacuuming your pool weekly. If you opt for a manual pool vacuum, think of it like vacuuming carpet. Work it back and forth along the surface of the pool, slightly overlapping each stroke, and then do the same on the bottom of the pool. You may need to check the filter after each time you vacuum in case you have a lot of debris and it requires a cleaning.

What Is the Ideal pH Level for My Pool Water?

The pH level is a measurement of your pool water’s acidity or alkalinity on a scale of 0-14. The ideal pH level is between 7.2 and 7.8, which is the range that is safest for swimmers and also helps the sanitizers work most effectively.

How Do I Know When It's Time to Clean My Pool Filter?

Generally, a good sign that you need to clean your pool filter is when you detect an increase in flow between the pressure gauge and the flow meter. If the difference reaches 10-15Lbs per square inch, then it is time to clean the filter.Regardless of the kind of filter you own, it will still require periodic cleaning. However, cleaning the filter more often than necessary can actually hinder the filtration process, since small amounts of dirt can actually help to trap other particles, removing debris from the water. It is best to hire a professional to maintain your pool, as they will maintain the filter properly as well.
